ThirdGen Pilates is about restoring how your body moves in everyday life.
By helping you move better, heal long-standing issues, you will be able to move your body efficiently and do the activities you enjoy.
For many clients, this is the first time they truly feel the work where it was intended.

How We Teach: A Real-Life Case Study
We do not take a one-size-fits-all approach. Our teaching follows a systematic process, which beings with postural evaluation, clear goal setting and ongoing tracking. We teach movement fundamentals, exercises are chosen based on all ranges of motion of the spine, and total body workout.
Exercises are carefully regressed or progressed based on each client’s condition. This structure helps clients feel confident that their care is well thought out, monitored and safe.
Below is a real-life case study showing how Pilates helped Mr. Quek move better everyday and in the activities he enjoy.

1
Initial Sessions
& Goal Setting
Mr Quek, a retiree in his 80s, wanted to improve his very hunched posture. He also experienced frequent muscle pain after golfing, a sport he enjoys regularly.
We took time to:
-
evaluate his posture
-
discuss his history, concerns and goals
This allowed us to identify patterns that were contributing to strain and pain.
2
Subsequent Sessions
(Private 1-to-1 Class)
In follow-up sessions, the focus was not only on exercises but also to build Mr Quek's awareness and knowledge about his own body.
We worked with Mr Quek to:
-
understand movement patterns contributing to his discomfort
-
organize his posture and initiate his movements correctly
Each session built on the previous one, progressing according to his body’s response.
3
What Changed In Daily Life
Mr Quek began seeing improvements through consistent practice in daily life.
He was able to:
-
Be more upright with greater confidence
-
Sleep better and gargle without neck pain
-
Improve his balance with less risk of falling
This reflects how we teach. By addressing the root of movement issues, we help clients carry what they learn into everyday life.
